Cleaning house

Last night was the official cleaning of the binder. Lots of expired coupons! But don't just throw those expired coupons away! Our troops and their families can use them, even when they've expired. There are many places that accept them; I send mine here.

I also needed to sort/cut/organize all the coupons I printed this week. And I got a little carried away! Speaking from experience, going to the store with a stack of uncut coupons is a quick way to lose your patience. You know you printed coupons for "product a", but can you find them? NO!

Now I'm ready to grab my newspapers and head out shopping. Well, as soon as I wake up my shopping partner and get ready to go. Today's stops: Walgreens, Target, and Albertsons. I haven't heard any rumors of Albertsons doublers in the paper this weekend, but I'm hopeful. I've got some good deals lined up there.

Penny-sized blog...

With so many fantastic couponing blogs out there, mine is just a penny in a bucket. So why do this? I just need a place to put all my deals, discoveries, triumphs, and failures. I don't aspire to become one of the go-to places for information. But maybe someone can learn from my short-comings and successes.

See, in a very short time, I've become so passionate about couponing and how it will allow my family to save money, I just feel like I have to share.

Opening day...

I think some of my Facebook friends are getting a bit tired of my couponing posts...and pictures...and brags. In order to spare them and save those eyes from rolling in my direction, I'm moving it all here. Maybe they'll thank me later.

My goal is to focus on my couponing exploits in this blog, but I'm sure it will eventually go elsewhere. Probably including anything that saves my family and me money.

Maybe I'll even gather a few readers along the way...it would be nice... :)
